NARDA EFA-300 B Field Sensor for Field Antenna-Q
The EFA-300 is a perfect field analyzer for detecting electric and magnetic fields in public areas and at work. It is intended for professional users in the municipal utilities, power industry, insurance companies, and industry health and safety specialists. It can easily and accurately handle almost any necessary measurement in the low frequency band. This device not only measures electric and magnetic fields but also does field analysis using an FFT calculation. Other application areas are made possible by the novel STD mode. This new mode takes into account the form of the signal and shows the magnetic and electric field strength measurement findings as a Percent of Standard. In industrial settings where complicated, non-sinusoidal signals are frequently encountered, such as in resistance welding applications, this mode facilitates quick and accurate measurement and assessment of the typical fields. Newer medium-frequency switching devices and conventional 50/60 Hz systems both have resistance welding problems.

Basic Operation
A magnetic field probe that is isotropic is integrated into the EFA-300. For handling other applications, optional external probes can be employed. For instance, a large (100 cm2) cross-sectional area and high sensitivity isotropic B-field probe are provided for the systematic measurement of different magnetic fields. There’s a tiny 3 cm diameter B-field “sniffer” probe for measurements in difficult-to-reach areas. An E-field module with a cubic shape and isotropic properties is part of the EFA-300. The electronics that enables it to function independently of the base unit is included in this E-field module together with the sensor. The EFA-TS remote software can be used on a computer or the base instrument to control the module’s operations and read results in real time. It is possible to operate the E-field module independently when in the data-logging mode. A computer and the EFA-TS software can be used subsequently to read and examine stored data. Reducing the impact of the human body on the electric field you are attempting to measure is the main benefit of using the E-field module remotely.
